This policy explains how WITHIN by FIFTY8 handles information when you visit, create an account, listen, save reflections, or choose emails.
What we collect and why
- Account information: your sign-in identifier, name, and email supplied by our authentication provider. We use these to identify your account and provide access.
- Your listening activity: saved favorites, playback position, and the date and time you last listened, so you can return to your practice.
- Reflections and journeys you save: answers, mood, intentions, and chapter progress linked to your account when you choose to save them.
- Email choices: your selected theme, timezone, reminder times, and consent preferences. Delivery records can include the message content, delivery status, and errors so reminders can be sent reliably.
- Billing information: Stripe customer references, subscription status, and billing dates. Stripe processes payment details; our application does not store your full payment-card number.
- Technical information: our hosting and service providers may process IP addresses, browser information, request logs, and security events to operate and protect the service.
- Support messages: information you send us to answer a question or resolve a request.
Reflections, local storage, and privacy
Some exercise choices stay in the current browser session. Choosing to remember an exercise can save those choices in your browser’s local storage. Account-based reflections are saved to our server when you press Save; synced chapter journeys can update as you use them. The controls on each experience explain which mode applies.
Saved reflections are not publicly displayed. They are not end-to-end encrypted, and authorized service access may be needed for support or security. Avoid entering information you would not want stored. If you request an emailed reflection, its contents pass through our email providers and become a copy in your inbox.
Browser storage and authentication technologies also support preferences and sign-in. Clearing browser data removes local copies but does not delete account records, cancel membership, or remove emails already delivered.
Personalized emails
Reminders use the name, theme, times, and timezone you select. We do not use your journal answers to generate these reminders. Morning, evening, weekly encouragement, and release-news choices are separate. Change them in Your Email Rhythm, pause all optional emails, or use an unsubscribe link. Billing and essential account messages may still be sent. Unsubscribing from emails does not cancel a paid subscription.
Service providers and sharing
WITHIN uses OpenAI Sites for hosting and account authentication, Cloudflare for infrastructure and storage, Stripe for payments, and Resend for email delivery. These providers process the information needed for their functions. Google Fonts receives technical connection information when fonts load. Provider services may process data in countries other than your own.
We do not sell your personal information or use your saved reflections for advertising. We may disclose information where required by law or necessary to protect accounts, enforce our terms, or address security incidents. External providers also have their own privacy terms.
Retention and your choices
Account records are kept while needed to provide your saved experience. There is no automatic expiry for saved reflections or listening history at present. You can delete saved reflections using the available controls, clear local exercise choices, and change email preferences. Billing, consent, security, and delivery records may need to be retained for legal obligations, fraud prevention, or service reliability.
To request access, correction, an export, or deletion of your account data, email info@fifty8magazine.com from your account email. We may need to verify your identity. We will explain any records that must be retained. Rights and applicable exceptions depend on your location. Cancel any active subscription separately through Manage membership; a data request alone does not stop renewal.
Children and sensitive information
WITHIN is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Contact us if a child has provided account information so we can address it. Please do not submit another person’s private information without their permission.
